“THE PRINCES’ ISLAND OF HALKIDIKI”

The only inhabited island in Central Macedonia is located in Halkidiki and is no other than Ammouliani. Known for its sandy beaches and the famous “donkey islets” which surround it and can be visited by boats, Ammouliani has a striking resemblance to Prince’s island on Bosporus, Constantinople. It may be visited either by taking the scheduled ferry boat from the port of Trypiti and the port of Ouranoupoli, or using the Municipality’s speed boat. Its scenic narrow streets, the fish taverns and breathtaking beaches shall enchant you. If you like horse driven carriages, you may hire one at the port and take a tour of Chora (the main village). Ammouliani is ideal for family vacations, but also for an incognito breakaway and will offer you a marvelous sunrise set against Mt. Athos and sunsets you will always remember and treasure!
